Environmental laws are being enforced by Courts creating a opportunity to use environment friendly and sustainable building technologies. Strict enforcement of laws requires mandatory use of fly ash based building elements in construction projects within 100 km of coal based power projects. Laws coupled with rising cost of burnt bricks encouraged reputed builders to use Fly Ash based interlocking blocks in construction projects. This project close to Delhi set up Hydraform machine at site to make good quality fly ash blocks. These blocks were used as in fill in framed structure and in mix and match with standard burnt bricks.
